A Note from the Principal . . .
Kuemper High School has a long-standing tradition of Academic Excellence. Our academic program addresses
the learning needs of all students and challenges them to higher achievement. Kuemper alumni frequently tell us how well prepared they were to begin their post-secondary education.
We strive to make our Catholic faith a central part of the educational day. We begin each school day and class period with a prayer, and we regularly celebrate Mass as a school community. Required Theology courses include Sacraments and Scripture, as well as courses that explore moral and ethical issues. Service hours are required at each grade level. We put our faith into action by sponsoring a school-wide Service Day in the community. I am especially proud of our participation in the Kids Against Hunger program. The overwhelming unity among our K-12 students, faculty, parents, and the entire community makes this a truly unique and rewarding event.
Extracurricular activites enhance the high school experience. Many skills and life lessons are learned through student participation. Kuemper offers a variety of activities that range from speech and drama to sports of all kinds. We offer something for everyone, and we highly encourage students to get involved.
I would like to express my sincere thanks to our Kuemper alumni. Without your vision and support, we would not be here today. To the parents of our students, thank you for investing in the value of a faith-based education. I truly believe Kuemper is a special place--filled with the traditions and memories of many talented, creative, and spiritual people.
