A Note From the Principals

We are committed to working together with parents to provide our students not only with a quality education but also a safe, positive learning environment. We encourage parents to take an active role in the education of their child by promoting responsibility and helping students to develop a passion for life-long learning.

Our Early Childhood Center has two preschool and two optional kindergarten classrooms located in the southeast lower floor of the Kuemper High School building. The rooms have been completely redecorated and furnished with creative learning materials that engage every child. Our participation in the Carroll-area Voluntary Preschool Grant with Carroll Community School District allows four-year-old students to enjoy a tuition-free preschool year at Kuemper. We are also offer an Optional Kindergarten half-day program for children who are five but would benefit from another year of development. This program strives to prepare our students socially and academically for regular Kindergarten.

Students in kindergarten through third grade attend the Holy Spirit Center. We teach our children to always keep God at the center of their lives in everything they do. We are able to offer an educational experience that is second to none! Our students receive a top-level academic program focused on the growth of each child while integrating Catholic values in everything that we do thus offering your child an education that truly develops the whole child!

Our 4th and 5th grade students attend the St. Angela Center, which offers a faith-based, challenging curriculum that prepares our children spiritually, academically, and socially. The nurturing learning environment is highlighted by the large, spacious classrooms. Our St. Angela students have numerous educational opportunities at their fingertips. We have Promethean Interactive Whiteboards in EVERY classroom, which, along with the ActivExpressions response systems, make every lesson truly interactive. The St. Angela Center also houses a computer lab with over 20 desktop computers, 2 mobile computer labs with numerous lap tops, a large Art room, a Spanish room to allow for Spanish curriculum beginning with our 4th graders, and a library that is always being used by our students.
Students in the St. Angela Center also have many opportunities to strengthen their faith through weekly liturgies with the Holy Spirit students, religion courses on a daily basis, and a Chapel available for student use. Perhaps the biggest way that our students can strengthen their faith is by serving as Catholic role models for our Holy Spirit students as Mass servers and leaders of the living rosary.
