Tuition Grants

The average tuition grant at Kuemper Catholic School for the 2009-10 school year amounted to $899, impacting 37% of the student body.  A total of $338,040 in financial aid was distributed to 376 students.  Kuemper offers a Tuition Grant Program that includes:

MONSIGNOR LAFFERTY TUITION FOUNDATION - provides tuition grant funds to eligible K-12 students; administered through the Diocese of Sioux City.

BIRZLE SCHOLARSHIP FUND - provides tuition grant funds to eligible high school students; administered through the Diocese of Sioux City.

FATHER KUEMPER TUITION GRANT - provides tuition grant funds to eligible K-12 students; administered through the Diocese of Sioux City.  This grant is comprised of designated monies from the Friends of Kuemper Ball, Phon-a-Thon, past Capital Campaigns, parishes, and Fr. Kuemper Fund.

To Apply for a Tuition Grant

Deadline for new families entering Kuemper is September 25, 2010.

Families must complete a FAIR grant application.  (FAIR, Inc. is the assessment agency contracted by the Diocese of Sioux City.)  Income tax documentation and a $21 processing fee must accompany the application.  FAIR will process your application.  A coded summary report will be forwarded to the Diocese of Sioux City.  This coded information is used to determine a possible grant for your family.

FAIR applications are available in the Kuemper Business Office, or you may call 712-792-3313 to request an application be sent to you.

3. Create New Login by inputting your email address and a password
4. Input New Application.  School code is 400.  School password is mltf400.

Application Requirements

• Student(s) must be registered and enrolled at Kuemper Catholic School in Optional Kindergarten through Grade 12.
• Monsignor Lafferty Tuition Foundation grants will be based solely on financial need determined by the FAIR application.
• Fr. Kuemper Tuition Grants may consider other factors.  Please list any special circumstances that may affect your eligibility for financial aid and include with the FAIR application.
• Complete and submit all required income tax information and the processing fee.
• Send only ONE application per family.

Tuition Grant Deadline

FAIR applications for new families for the 2010-11 school year must be mailed by September 25, 2010.  FAIR applications for the 2010-2011 school year must be received at the FAIR office BY OCTOBER 1, 2010 or they will not be processed.  Families will be notified of any grant amounts via US Mail by late October.
