Students must be 4 years old on or before September 15.
Kuemper collaborates with Carroll Community School District (CCSD) for the state-funded (tuition-free) four-year-old preschool program. When registering for preschool, families have the option to choose Kuemper or CCSD for their child's preschool site.
24-25 Kuemper Preschool Handbook
Preschool Registration is OPEN! Please read these instructions carefully.
Everyone registering a 4-Year-Old Preschooler for the 2025-2026 School Year needs to register their child through CCSD first. There are no exceptions. The timestamp on CCSD's registration will determine your spot in preschool. It is First-Come, First-Served.
Once you click on the link, you will be taken to CCSD's registration. You do not need to sign in or create a log in. You will need to register as a new student. You only need to register the student attending the 4-year-old program. You will want to say no to the question, 'Have you attended this district before?'
AM/PM Preschool is determined by bus route. That is why there is no selection to choose from in the registration. Spots will be determined by availability after bus routes are scheduled. There will be little to no wiggle room to fulfill requests with full classes at Kuemper.
Please pick PK as your grade level, and be sure to choose Holy Spirit as your school location.
For some reason, Infinite Campus has problems with their registration application on phones. If you are having issues, please try on a computer.
Please call Carroll Community Schools at 712-794-3406 if you experience issues with registration. Leave a message and they will return your call as soon as possible.
Paperwork does NOT need to be turned in for your registration to be valid. We will need proof of age (which could be on the immunization record), immunization record, and proof of address by August 1.
As soon as you have it ready, you may turn it in any of the following ways:
1. You can scan and email it to Joan Halbur (the Holy Spirit Secretary) at [email protected].
2. You may mail it to:
Kuemper Catholic School
Attn: Joan Halbur
200 S Clark St
Carroll, IA 51401
3. Drop it off at the address above.
4. Bring them to our Discover Kuemper Preschool Night on Wednesday, March 26.
Preschool is Tuesday through Friday throughout the school year and runs in half-day sessions. There are morning and afternoon sessions.
Morning Session: 8:00am-11:00am
Afternoon Session: 12:00pm-3:00pm
Morning and afternoon busing is provided on the Carroll Community and Kuemper bus routes. Noon bus transportation is provided for students within the Carroll Community School District. There is no busing to and from KuemperCares. Transportation must be provided by the parent.
Kuemper's childcare program KuemperCares offers half-day childcare that complements the half-day preschool classes. This program alleviates parents' worries about finding transportation for their child in the middle of the school day, especially for families that live outside the school district!
If you are discerning where to send your child, please schedule a tour. You will not be disappointed! This can be arranged by contacting Erin Sundrup at [email protected] or 712-792-3313.
Use our Preschool Survival Guide as...well.. your survival guide for your first year of school. It includes everything from getting on the bus to picking out what to wear.
By signing your child up for the #FutureKnights Birthday list, you will be notified ASAP when preschool registration opens for your child's respective year. They will also receive birthday cards for their 1st-4th birthdays!
