KuemperCares has three programs in one: After School, the Wraparound Program, and the Summer Program. Our after-school program provides a safe place for students (Pre-K through 10 years old) to go after school. Students can use this time to work on homework, interact with peers, and have time to relax before going home for the evening, all on Kuemper’s campus.
The Wraparound Program is for Kuemper's preschool students. The students will spend half their day in the classroom and the other half of the day with KuemperCares. KuemperCares Wraparound program will offer structured playtime, giving children the opportunity to grow and learn with their peers in a safe and positive learning environment.
Our summer program allows the children to have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities: Swimming, playing at local parks, visiting the library, going on field trips to local businesses, and day trips to towns around Carroll.
Who is KuemperCares for? KuemperCares programs are designed for children 4 years of age through 10 years old. We have our wraparound program for those children attending Kuemper Catholic Schools for half-day educational settings, and our afterschool program for those children that attend Kuemper Catholic School's full-day classes.
What do the kids do? During their time in our care, the children can work on homework, participate in group games, have individual play time, and crafts, have a healthy snack, and participate in age appropriate special activities.
Where is the program? Our program classes are located on the first floor of Kuemper High School. We have a large sign on the south side of the building to identify the doors that should be used. The space is part of our Early Childhood Education Wing, which includes 3-year-old preschool, 4-year-old preschool, and KuemperCares classrooms.
